The PLAYA Echo is the second shirt in the brand new Bali range, but the first ever PLAYA shirt to be made from bamboo. So although this shirt is thin, it’s still super absorbent. Orange threading to give it a little Bali touch. One of our thinnest shirts yet to cope with the hot, humid summers of Bali.
Under the auspices of our ancestors, in the shadow of its volcanic terrain, we took to the Bali Sea. We imagined ourselves skimming the surface of its clear blue water as we tiptoed along its peak, casually escaping the eye of a breaking wave.Â
In reality, we spent longer climbing back on our surfboards than we did standing atop. But as we soaked in the tropical climate and admired the mountains from afar, we never gave in.
When we had finally had our fill, we recharged at La Brisa on the foreshore of the majestic Echo Beach. We marvelled at their zero-waste products and devoured the sustainably sourced food. But it was their infamous bamboo playground that was seared into our imagination, becoming the inspiration for the material of our Echo shirts.
